Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. Sara Ramirez was raised by an American mother, and faced a lot racial taunts and led her to feel unwelcome. She began to gain confidence during the 9th grade, when she entered a school audition and was highly praised for her performance. This not only increased her confidence but her dreams were changed. In the year 22 she received her degree from the Julliard School of New York. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. The role of The lad from The Lake is her greatest break, earning an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. In the year following, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. In addition to being a popular singer, she released a solo and a longer piece. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
